ACT NOW campaign seeks to reduce dementia risk by 60%

The Welsh government and Public Health Wales are urging everyone to take 6 simple steps to adopt a healthier lifestyle that could reduce their risk of developing dementia in later life by up to 60%.

The campaign aims to get the message across that its never too early to make changes to maintain both your physical and mental health, so ACT NOW...

  • Active (both physically and socially)
  • Check your health regularly
  • Try new things
  • No to smoking
  • Only drink alcohol within recommended guidelines (if at all)
  • Watch your weight

The campaign is holding roadshows across Wales to get the message across, with the next ones being held at :

  • Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Ceredigion on Wednesday 15th February 2017
  • The Quadrant Shopping Centre in Swansea on Saturday 18th February 2017
