The Point cinema in Eastleigh, Hampshire has announced its Spring programme of accessible screenings designed specially for anyone with dementia, learning difficulties or additional needs.

The screenings are open to everyone and the atmosphere is relaxed. Normal cinema rules do not apply! The lights will be left on slightly so people can move about with ease during the performance and the volume is reduced slightly to reduce possible anxiety.

Carers and family members are encouraged to come along and join in, and everyone is welcome to join in, sing along, and dance as the mood takes them.

The monthly screenings kick off at 10.30am on Tuesday 14th February with West Side Story, the classic tale of forbidden love among the gangs of New York.

The musical theme then continues on Tuesday 14th March with Singing in the Rain, starring Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds in one of the best song and dance routines in cinema history.

Then on Tuesday 18th April, come and enjoy an all-star line up in Hollywood classic High Society, starring Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, John Lund and Grace Kelly.

Tickets are £5 and carers go free. All performances start at 10.30am and a complimentary hot drink and biscuit is included during a 20 minute interval.
